New Composites Made from up to 60% Inexpensive, Raw Plant Material

PROBLEM: Composite manufacturers need ways to improve extruded thermoplastics using inexpensive, environmentally friendly ingredients and without slowing process time.

SOLUTION:  Replace 20% to 60% by weight of current composite ingredients with raw plant derived material that requires only simple mechanical preparation.  Performance characteristics of the composite are maintained or improved, and no complicated manufacturing methods are required.
